A Core Facility is an organizational unit, real or virtual, that offers specialized scientific expertise, services, and research infrastructure for a fee to both internal and external researchers.
Core Facilities leverage scientific research because they:
- provide affordable- and time-saving access to state-of-the-art equipment and expertise,
- contribute to the development of new scientific techniques and methods and transfer technical skills.
