Emile Mukiza joined the Department, working on a project funded by SCK-CEN (Study Centre for Nuclear Energy, located in Mol). Emile will be working on "Evolution of microstructure, mineralogy and mechanical properties of metakaolin-based geopolymer under irradiation at early ages". He will be supervised by Geert De Schutter. His SCK-mentor is Dr. Quoc Tri Phung, who previously also obtained his doctoral degree from Ghent University, working on an SCK project.
