Host-Bacteria Proteomics Lab

Research interests

  • Focus on bacterial infections, which are an important threat to human health (partly) due to increasing antibiotic resistance
  • Investigation of host-bacteria interactions by novel mass spectrometry-based approaches to identify novel targets for therapeutic intervention
    • Use of Listeria monocytogenes as an intracellular bacterial model pathogen
    • Analysis of ubiquitin-like protein modifications of the immune system, in particular ISG15
    • Identification of novel antigenic peptides presented on the surface of infected cells
