Interdisciplinary workshop on Van Eyck and Early Netherlandish painting
On Friday 16 December 2022 the Henri Pirenne Institute and the Ghent Museum of Fine Arts (MSK), with the generous support of the Suermondt Ludwig Museum Aachen, the Ghent University - VUB Urban History Research Alliance, the Faculty of Arts & Philosophy and Friends of the MSK, are hosting the interdisciplinary hybrid workshop 'Knowledge, Network and Society in the Age of Van Eyck'.
At this workshop both early career researchers as well as established academics will shed their light on new research questions that have arisen in the aftermath of the ‘Van Eyck. An Optical Revolution’ exhibition (MSK, 2020). The organisers invite all those interested to join the workshop, which will take place at the auditorium of the Ghent Museum of Fine Arts. The full program and registration details can be found here. Direct link to the registration page is here.
Registration fee is waived for members of the Pirenne Institute (not including catering). Please register by selecting one of the Ghent University "student" options.
