When will I get a refund?

Refunds are done once a month, in the beginning of the month following on a new invoice.

On which bank account number will I receive the refund?

The reimbursement will be done on the bank account number mentioned in Oasis. This may differ from the account number where the original payment was done from. You can change your account number at Oasis.ugent.be

Why did my tuition fee increase? / Why is my invoice so high?

At the beginning of the academic year, you receive an initial invoice (e.g. linking/preparatory programme: only the fixed amount; bachelor or master’s programme: fixed amount + 60 credits). When your curriculum is approved by the faculty, your invoice will be adjusted according to the number of credits taken. The new invoice will be mailed at the beginning of the following month.

Why do I not receive a final invoice with the full tuition fee after I have made the payment?

If you paid the correct tuition fee, you will not receive a new invoice because there is no outstanding debt any more.

How much do I still have to pay?/ How much will be refunded?

All this information can be found on your account balance at Oasis.ugent.be. Refunds always take place at the beginning of the month.

I forgot to mention the structural reference of my payment, what should I do?

You can email a printscreen of the money transfer at . Please mention your student number.
We will link the payment to your outstanding invoice.

I have terminated my enrolment at Ghent University. will I get a refund?

A (partial) reimbursement of your tuition fee depends on your scholarship status, the date of termination, the course and the type of contract.
